Terms of Service

Service Agreement for entering into business with Yellow Door Lane LLC is as follows.
Please read and, upon ordering, select you have read and agree to the following terms.

  1. All services offered by Yellow Door Lane will be researched, crafted, written, and delivered within the number of working days indicated on the Order+Pricing page. Writing begins upon receipt of payment, completion of the product questionnaire, and links to photos and other materials are received by Yellow Door Lane. Delivery of finished writing will be sent to the email address provided by the client.

  2. You may order services any time or day. Yellow Door Lane will complete projects on working days (Monday-Friday). Yellow Door Lane observes U.S. Federal Holidays, and does not write on the weekends. Otherwise time away will be posted on the Order+Pricing page.

  3. Price for each piece includes 1 major revision, and will be completed within a reasonable timeframe. Clients are free to make revisions via copy/paste of the delivered copy to a personal editing document for adjustments before publishing.

  4. As only one revision is included in the price, please order with your professional photos and/or video package. This will ensure I can see the home in its listing presentation state, and fully connect with your marketing vibe. That said, while more challenging, I'm happy to create without the pro photos. Simply order with personally taken or previous listing photos, then let me know of any discrepancies within the order form. When using older or personal photos, I always do my best to anticipate the home's final look/polish, however, tweaks may be necessary, by the agent, for 100% accuracy before going live.

  5. I will always research the community and region and highlight features at the end of each piece. For legal reasons, I won't note schools, use words like “family”, or mention if a street is "quiet" etc. While I can guestimate what may make a great feature, the agent is ultimately responsible for making final decisions, and adding to the piece, Community/HOA/Utility facts.

  6. Photos of homes, names of agents/teams along with the Real Estate firm name may be used for marketing purposes. For example, photos and names are most often utilized/tagged on Instagram to thank clients and help market the listing. Names may also utilized to capture a review on Yellow Door Lane’s website and/or on in the monthly eSnapshot email. Your and your photographer’s preferences are priority, however. Please simply let me know if you would like to opt out, if the photographer requires their name tagged on IG, or does not allow use etc. Yellow Door Lane will always ask before use of a seller’s name, should the occasion arise to use it to post a review.

  7. As the final products are intellectual property of Yellow Door Lane LLC, please do not utilize the copy outside its indented use (MLS, home brochures, home/agent websites, marketing magazines, ads etc). The content is not intended for use with other listings, for offering to other persons or businesses, nor for use as feature articles. Yellow Door Lane allows content to be utilized as feature articles related to the home’s marketing, however, please have the publisher/magazine tag Yellow Door Lane on IG and/or credit Yellow Door Lane in the article itself wherever possible.

  8. Yellow Door Lane takes great care to deliver quality work. Each written piece will be thoroughly reviewed for writing errors before delivery.  The buyer/client is responsible, however, for the final proofread of their written product before use/publishing. Yellow Door Lane LLC, and/or the writer, is not responsible for work published with errors of any kind.

  9. Yellow Door Lane, and/or the writer, is not liable for any misinformation given by the client.

  10. Yellow Door Lane, and/or the writer, cannot be held liable for any loss/damage of the sale/rental, nor lack of sale/rental of properties. 

  11. Yellow Door Lane provides a service. Your purchase is of time spent in research, crafting, composing, and editing of written pieces for your use. Therefore, refunds cannot be given should the scope of work change, nor due to the property being taken off the market, creative differences regarding the final product, if a press release is not picked-up by news outlets, nor for slow sales etc.

  12. In the unlikely event I anticipate a missed deadline, the client will be notified as soon as possible.  I never anticipate missing a deadline, however, rarely, unforeseen events occur. I’ll do my very best to fully communicate any anticipated issues in advance.

  13. Cash or checks not accepted, so sorry!

  14. I prefer not to rush orders, however, in the event one is required a 45% additional charge will be added to your order total. This is to dissuade this type of request and protect the quality of your product as well as the timely delivery of other orders. Please check availability to complete your project and agree on a timeline before ordering a project with a rush by emailing tracy@yellowdoorlane.com.

  15. Yellow Door Lane LLC reserves the right to refuse projects.
